The sparring area of the dojo (in Japanese) or dojang (in Korean) is made of interlocking thick mats, ideal for both contact and grappling sports. The subfloor is absorbent to minimize the impact of falls while remaining strong enough for torsional contact-fighting movements. Mirrors and ramps complement the dojo-dojang to help correct posture and improve techniques.
The dojo-dojang has three undressing rooms: two for students (women and men) and one for instructors. Finally, a spectator area has also been set up for parents and visitors.
